At Keimac Circuit
Solutions we use PADS Power PCB for all our layouts. As
with the schematic capture, we have learned this software well and can
therefore, complete a layout quickly and effectively. We have the experitise to deal with both RF and digital at KCS. RF has been a particular focus along with the associated logic that makes it all work.
KCS has dealt with multi-layer boards, split and mixed planes, fixed impedance on internal and external layers and components on top and bottom layers. Again, we also have a particular interest in RF and know the rules associated with it. We are familiar with blind and buried vias and even via in pad. If you have a schematic already captured, KCS is more than willing to work with you to take it to layout. To begin the layout process we must have a completed schematic. This means all components have been verified for package size and the appropriate footprint has been assigned to it. KCS must also have the desired board dimension from the client. We cannot get the desired results if we don't the board parameters. The next thing we need is the physical position of any buttons, switches or other mechanical devices that interface to something external. Once this has all been done, KCS can begin the layout process. The parts and pieces are arranged in the available space and then the points are all routed. It may be necessary at a point in the layout process to decide to increase the number of layers in your board. If this is the case, you will be notified and the reasons for the change will be discussed.
If for any reason there are other concerns or questions, you will be informed. We believe in keeping you in the loop at all times. Once the layout is completed, gerbers are run and verification files are printed off. Copies of these are then sent to you for approval. At this point any further changes are made and the boards are now ready to be sent out for manufacture. KCS has several board houses it has dealt with and is willing to recommend. Top |
